Tecnun, The University of Navarra School of Engineering, is located in San Sebastián, a beautiful city on the northern coast of Spain, in the region known as the Basque Country, the name given to the home of the Basque people in the western Pyrenees, straddling the border between France and Spain on the Atlantic coast. The Basque Country and its people are renowned for their entrepreneurial and innovative spirit. This rich and prosperous region has the highest rate of employment and investment in innovation in the whole of Spain and is always close to Spain's largest cities, Madrid and Barcelona, in key performance indicators such as Gross Domestic Product (by region).

One of the oldest engineering schools in Spain, Tecnun has been at the service of society since 1961, providing engineering education and degrees to more than 7,000 graduates and carrying out applied research for industry, with more than 600 doctoral theses and 12 spin-off companies.  Tecnun also has a strong international orientation, with exchange and cooperation programmes with universities around the world.
