The University offers its students and alumni a careers service which, in addition to helping them find internships and employment, accompanies them in their professional orientation.
The Professional Opportunities Service at Tecnun aims to promote, develop and implement cooperation programmes with companies, both nationally and internationally, which include internships, end-of-degree projects, training seminars and support for research. All this has a positive impact on the training of graduates and on the achievement of the objectives of the companies and institutions that participate in them.
Are you looking for an internship in a company?
The Professional Opportunities Service at Tecnun helps students to find opportunities that allow them to complement their university training by doing an internship in a public or private company or institution. Students put into practice the knowledge they have acquired and develop the skills they will need in their next professional career.
Internships can be carried out at any time during the academic year, depending on the student's situation and the needs of the company. They are often carried out during the summer, respecting the holiday period and the timetable established by the company.
The duration of the stay shall preferably not exceed fifty percent (50%) of the academic year, without prejudice to what may be established by Tecnun, ensuring the correct development and monitoring of the student's academic activities.
External academic placements for university students shall be regulated in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 592/2014, of 11 July, Royal Decree 1791/2010, of 30 December, which approves the University Student Statute and other applicable legislation. It is academic in nature and therefore there is no employment relationship between the company and the student. They are formalised by means of a framework collaboration agreement between the University of Navarra and the company.
Students are covered by an accident and civil liability insurance policy during the internship period, in addition to the School Insurance available to all students enrolled at Tecnun under 28 years of age. The accident insurance has national coverage only.
If you wish to offer an internship, you must access the University of Navarra's Employment Portal where you can register and publish the offer. The CVs of students interested in the offer will be sent directly to the email address or link provided by the company.
The internship allowance for students is voluntary. In the event of remuneration, the company will pay the student directly.
Since July 2013, the regulations on Social Security contributions set out in R.D. 1493/2011 have made it compulsory to register students who carry out paid internships with a grant. The company will pay the student directly and register him/her with the Social Security.
At the end of the traineeship period, the company shall issue a certificate to the student who has completed the traineeship with an express mention of the training, its duration and performance.
If you have any questions or queries, please contact the External Relations Service.
We aim to be the link between the company and the university, trying to satisfy the human capital needs of the former and reflecting the concerns and needs of the labour market in the latter.
