Message from President to the students of the University of Navarra
Since Friday 13th, following the Basque Government's suspension of the activity of all educational centres in the Basque Country, the School has suspended face-to-face teaching to temporarily switch to online methodology.
In an e-mail statement addressed to the 1,200 students of campus, the Student's Office informed that online classes will start on Tuesday 17 , and that the new class schedules for all courses are available on the web, which should be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
The Alumni Deputy Director , Jorge Juan Gil, order has asked students to "follow the instructions given by professors in their respective subjects, consult the material posted on ADI, view the classes recorded by professors, connect to a virtual classroom by Google Meet or Zoom and resolve their doubts via chat or writing in forums".
The student Deputy Director also appealed to the individual responsibility of doing this work staff at a distance, without the physical proximity of classmates, teachers or advisor, and reminded them that teachers are "available via email whenever they need them".
The University of Navarra closes its facilities from Tuesday 17, following the declaration by the Government of Spain of a state of alarm for the whole country due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the campus of San Sebastian will maintain minimum services in some areas.
Classes are scheduled to resume on March 30, but professors are preparing material for online teaching until Easter, in view of the prospect that status will be extended.
Extracurricular activities suspended
As in the rest of the universities, all extra-curricular, cultural, sporting and other group events will be suspended .
The start of classes after Easter is scheduled for April 16, although the School will confirm this at a later date as status progresses.
