MIT City Science Group average Lab visit Tecnun

Researchers at the MIT average Lab have given a session at Tecnun goal to bring their research closer and to continue working in the City Science Lab GipuzkoaThe innovation laboratory, based at Tecnun and Mubil, focused on projects to improve cities.

"We are proud to have established a science laboratory in Gipuzkoa with this prestigious research group, which will soon be full of life", said Raúl Antón during his speech at director of Tecnun. It should be noted that this laboratory is part of the international network of the City Science group , which is also present in other places such as Taipei, Shanghai, Toronto or Israel.


 

For his part, Kent Larson, director of the City Science group at average Lab, explained the work of this MIT group, which studies the development of new mobility systems, transformable urban housing and predictive technology for the improvement of communities.


 

Also in attendance were alumni NaroaCoretti and Iñigo Azkárate, members of the City Science group in Boston. In a colloquium moderated by the director of the City Science Lab Gipuzkoa of Tecnun, Zuriñe Varela, the alumni have explained their work at MIT.

It is worth noting that the relationship between the City Science group at MIT average Lab and Tecnun dates back to 2011. As recalled by director from Tecnun, since then, "many students from Tecnun have had the opportunity to carry out research stays that have helped them to develop professional skills, and even become the leaders of the spin off Ori that promoted the City Science group in the field of robotic architecture.
