EMT Madrid and Tecnun a partnership agreement subject training and research

The Municipal Transport Company of Madrid and the School of Engineering at the University of Navarra agree to work together to promote a more competitive company and a university that is more connected to real challenges.

The delegate for Urban Planning, Mobility, and the Environment for the Community of Madrid, Borja Carabante, in his capacity as president of the Municipal Transport Company, today signed an agreement with the director the School of Engineering at the University of Navarra (Tecnun), Francis Planes, to collaborate on subject and research.

The purpose of this agreement the two institutions is to promote and create all subject activities related to transport engineering. Planes welcomed the signature agreement and stressed that, "from an engineering point of view, the impetus being given by EMT Madrid in subject innovation and technology is very attractive." He also emphasized that "its strategy on sustainable urban mobility and digital transformation are use cases that demonstrate in a practical way what we teach in the classroom."

 

With this agreement, which is valid for two years and can be extended, both entities undertake to make their facilities available for informational, technical, training, or social events that both EMT Madrid and Tecnun to be of interest. In addition, the agreement will agreement enable students to attend the conference and information conference that EMT Madrid holds at its work centers, as well as the establishment of other subject collaboration in fields such as public calls for university-business collaboration programs in the field of research and development. 

 

The agreement framework also leaves the door open for future collaboration between the parties in the field of research and the development doctoral theses or final Degree projects. In this sense, the agreement seals the commitment of the University of Navarra School of Engineering and EMT Madrid to the need to strengthen university-business relations so that they result in a more competitive company and a university more in tune with the needs of the service and industrial sectors.

"The signature this agreement means that the University of Navarra School of Engineering can showcase our desire to support companies and institutions in innovation projects and bring in young, highly qualified talent who are studying our master's degrees in Madrid," Planes emphasized.
