The innovation methodology based on Design Thinking was the central content of the training day held at Tecnun last Saturday, October 14, 2017.
Configured in multidisciplinary teams, the numerous attendees of the session, some of whom were already graduates, were able to learn and put into practice the most agile ideation tools that will be of great help in the subsequent elaboration of Business Canvas.
Santiago Hermida, an alumnus of the School of Economics at the University of Navarra, who is currently working on his doctoral thesis on Design Thinking applied to university teaching, led an inspiring session, full of case studies and effective tools for innovation.
The INVAS and Innovation Fast Track programsare aimed at students and young graduates of the University of Navarra to promote the training and development of skills linked to entrepreneurial activity. These competencies are not only valuable for turning future professionals into people who are aware and prepared for entrepreneurship, but are also highly valued skills by the companies that hire graduates from the university.
After the 4-hour day, all the students went to lunch in the old town of San Sebastian where, in addition to enjoying the gastronomy, they were able to consolidate relationships and build the necessary trust in the work teams in which the participants in the programs are configured.
Gustavo Lascurain, a student of Industrial Organization Engineering, stated that "the common comment among the program participants was the attractiveness of the Design Thinking tools and the broad and immediate applicability of what was learned during the session".
Participants now have sufficient knowledge to generate ideas and move on to the next step of the program: the Business Canvas.
