LATEST NEWS AND EVENTS FROM THE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
180 participants attend Career Technical Orientation Days
The attendees were able to learn about the scope of Engineering in its different specialties to help them decide on the university studies to pursue.
Last Saturday morning, the Technical Careers Orientation Conference was held at Tecnun , aimed at fathers, mothers and high school students. A total of 180 people gathered at the School of Engineering to learn first-hand about the scope of Engineering in its different specialties. It should be noted that the number of participants was higher than last year.
The attendees were divided into two classrooms in the Ibaeta and Urdaneta buildings, in order to respect the security measures required by the anti-Covid protocols. The Promotion team, led by Mikel Arcelus and Irene de Vicente, was in charge of welcoming the attendees, with the help of three collaborating students.
The speakers at the sessions were the Promotion Director, Mikel Arcelus, and the School Development Director, Iñigo Gutiérrez, who were distributed one in each classroom. The sessions were attended by students from around 30 different schools, mainly from Guipúzcoa, but also some from Álava and Vizcaya, all of them accompanied by their parents.
It should be noted that, given the high demand for attendance and the number of people who remained on the waiting list, these days will be repeated next Saturday, October 31.
