The Formula Student teams of Euskadi (Tecnun eRacing and Formula Student Bizkaia) have presented at the AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center the single-seaters for the 2018 season with which they will compete this year at Silverstone, Assen and Montmeló and have told their news and technical improvements. 

This is the ninth year in which AIC supports the Basque Formula Student teams to continue promoting knowledge, training and research in the automotive sector, with special emphasis on the new generations of engineers who will join the working world from universities.

With this initiative, AIC tries to encourage university students to improve their skills and talent in areas such as management, design, production and marketing in the automotive world. As a differential element, this year the teams have worked on the use of simulation tools to improve the design and start-up of their single-seaters. In addition, the essay has been maintained for most of the competition tests, both static and dynamic.

On the other hand, AIC wants to get Formula Student teams to collaborate and cooperate together to become more competitive, save costs and learn to work as a team, thus facilitating the students' future integration into working life.

Formula Student is an apprenticeship program organized by IMechE (Institution of Mechanical Engineers) in Great Britain for the development of future engineering talent. It involves more than 100 universities from all over Europe and even from the United States and Australia.

AIC Automotive Intelligence Center AIC is a foundation promoted by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the City Councils of Amorebieta-Etxano and Ermua, a group of leading companies in the automotive sector and ACICAE-Euskadi Automotive Cluster. Its structure presents activities of knowledge, training, technology and industrial development that allow to improve the competitiveness of the automotive sector. It employs 30 organizations and more than 700 people.
