Tecnun and Vicomtech sign a collaboration agreement

Tecnun, the School of Engineering at the University of Navarra, signed a collaboration agreement today with Vicomtech, an applied research research center specializing in digital technologies. The goal of the agreement is to strengthen the relationship between the University and the Center and to contribute to the practical training and development of skills among the School’s students. It also establishes the possibility of collaborating on research and development projects, university-industry initiatives, development doctoral thesis projects, and other initiatives of mutual interest.
Francisco Javier Planes, the “ director ” of Tecnun, emphasized that “ agreement ” aims to “strengthen and expand the collaboration that both entities have maintained for years, with the goal of improving the training of future professionals and contributing to the development of the region.” The agreement will strengthen this relationship through initiatives such as Vicomtech’s participation in seminars and classes for Degree and master’s programs, technology mentoring, student visits to its facilities, and its collaboration with the Formula Student program Tecnun.
For his part, Vicomtech’s general director , Julián Florez, noted that “this agreement allows us to build a direct bridge between the academic world and the cutting edge of digital technologies. At Vicomtech, we firmly believe in the need to support students throughout their education by offering them a real-world environment at applied research where they can build on their knowledge. Working hand in hand with Tecnun ensures that the talent trained in the Basque Country is prepared to lead the way in meeting the challenges of the future.” This collaboration aims to generate results that have a positive impact on both organizations and on society as a whole.
