The agreement will promote the comprehensive education of students and foster development cooperation development engineering projects

Tecnun, the School of Engineering at the University of Navarra, has signed a agreement with the international NGO Ingeniería para la Cooperación (ICLI). The goal agreement is to strengthen students’ well-rounded education through initiatives related to development cooperation development the practice of engineering with a social impact. The agreement signed by Tecnun director development , Iñigo Gutiérrez, and the vice president of the nonprofit organization, Antonio Gómez. 

Tecnun director development , Iñigo Gutiérrez, emphasized that this agreement will allow ICLI to contribute to student education by offering seminars on various subjects, during which it will present the cooperation projects it is carrying out in impoverished countries. As he explained, the agreement strengthens a relationship that both organizations have maintained for years and represents “a tremendous opportunity for staff professional growth” for the student body, in line with the mission statement train engineers committed to serving society. 

For his part, ICLI Vice President Antonio Gómez stated that the collaboration between ICLI and Tecnun from a goal : to improve people’s lives.” In this regard, he noted that while Tecnun by training engineers, ICLI carries out cooperation projects in impoverished countries, also aimed at improving the living conditions of the communities with which it works.

Gómez also emphasized that “this shared vision opens up new opportunities for collaboration, especially among academic staff student body, with the aim of promoting joint projects that have a positive impact.” 

It is worth noting that, thanks to the agreement, the organization will be able to involve Tecnun students Tecnun their final Degree master’s projects related to its cooperation initiatives, thereby promoting their practical training and the acquisition of skills that complement their studies.  For its part, Tecnun allocate time from its academic staff students through Tantaka Tecnun, the University of Navarra’s Solidarity Time Bank in San Sebastián.
