On Saturday, we celebrated Tecnun cap-and-gown ceremony Tecnun Madrid

The cap-and-gown ceremony marked the culmination of the university experience for the new class of engineers from Tecnun in Madrid. The 55 students in the Master’s in Technological Innovation and the Master’s in Industrial Engineering celebrated their graduation at the Alumni Building of the University of Navarra, accompanied by the director ,Francis Planes; faculty members; family; and friends.  

The event began with a Mass in the chapel the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, celebrated by the chaplain, FatherIgnacio Carriazo. 

On behalf of the entire graduating class, studentsIsabel Guerra(Master’s in Industrial Engineering) andJuan Sebastián(Dual Master’s in Industrial Engineering and Technological Innovation) thanked the University of Navarra for the care taken with every detail, the effort made to provide them with the best professors, the rigorous yet respectful education they received, and the opportunities this experience has opened up for them.

In their speech, the students emphasized that they had come to understand that “behind every great project, there are people and teams that work well together because they listen to one another, complement each other, and trust one another. And that—even though it may sometimes seem less tangible than a formula or a blueprint—is what makes the difference between good work and great work.”

They also noted that they “never felt like issue . Here, the professors know you, challenge you, and support you, which means that academic excellence is evident in every class, every assignment, and every conversation.”  

The director ,Francis Planes, encouraged the students to seek the truth and reminded them that this path "requires time to think, read, reflect, and delve deeper" and that, therefore, it involves "a dialogue with others in which we make their ideas our own."

Gustavo Pego, director Corporate Entrepreneurship, shared with the students and their families six reflections on how to continue growing in gratitude, friendship, good judgment, responsible use of technology, a sense of responsibility, and a hopeful outlook on the future. 

One of the most moving moments came during the screening of a video in which the professors thanked the students and reminded them that, from now on, they are part of the alumni community, which comprises more than 150,000 people around the world.
