26 University students receive Caja Rural's Global Internship grants

From Navarre, the Basque Country and La Rioja, they have carried out international internships in 12 countries outside the EU.

26 students from the University of Navarra have received the diploma Global Internship Program scholarships, awarded by Caja Rural de Navarra in collaboration with Career Services of the academic center. This program aims to promote professional internships for university students in non-EU countries.

The United States, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Costa Rica, Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Bolivia, Ivory Coast, Cape Verde, Ghana and Japan are the twelve destinations to which students from the University of Navarra have traveled this year. The university students, from Navarra, the Basque Country and La Rioja, belong to the School of Engineering (Tecnun ) and the faculties of Law, Science, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Nutrition, Philosophy and Letters, Education and Psychology and Communication.

At the ceremony of submission of the diplomas, the president of Caja Rural de Navarra, Ignacio Terés, pointed out the importance for the training of the students of having an experience abroad. "It is a unique experience that will provide you with new points of view and that will make you grow in many areas and that you will keep things that will serve you forever."

For his part, the University's President , Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero, recalled that the University not only forms the heads of its students, but also their hearts. The Global Internship Program aims to promote professional internships for university students in foreign companies and promote . internationalization. The selection of interns has taken into account the academic record, the level of language of the host country, the curriculum vitae and the quality of the internship offered by the host company.
