"Before, what was scarce was content, information, and entertainment. Today, what is scarce is attention," said Llaneras.

After the plenary session, doctoral students with poster their research in one minute in the main auditorium of the building (Elevator Pitch), followed by a session in which a jury evaluated each poster and presentation individually.

The jury was composed of professors, researchers, and final-year doctoral students from both Tecnun Ceit.

For poster presentations, the jury evaluated the elevator pitch, motivation, and clear presentation of objectives, structure, and coherence, as well as more formal aspects such as the quality of figures, fonts, etc., and finally, responses to questions from the jury.

The deputy director explained that doctoral students, professors, and researchers alike "left their usual workspaces to focus exclusively on sharing and learning from this research."

"This change of environment allows us to put aside our daily tasks, even if only for a few hours, and open ourselves up to learning what other colleagues are doing," he said.
