The Tamborrada of Tecnun enlivened the streets of the Old Town

On Saturday, the streets of Antiguo resounded to the beat of the Tamborrada of Tecnun. About 130 people, including students, alumni and staff, interpreted the march of San Sebastian. Pilar Carballo and Rocío Gonzalo, recently retired employees of the Cleaning Service, led the flag raising at campus of San Sebastián. Accompanied by Marta de Juana, Director of the Library Service of Tecnun, they handed the flags to the flag bearers. Afterwards, the Professor Emeritus of Tecnun, Juan Flaquer, pronounced the speech with which, between applause and drums, the tour began. 

For its part, the campus Madrid warmed up two days earlier. The students of the Master in Industrial Engineering and Technological Innovation enjoyed the workshop with their professors. 

It should be noted that the Tamborrada of Tecnun started in 2016 thanks to the efforts of the Committee composed of employees and alumni volunteers such as Marta de Juana, Mikel Arcelus, Soledad Abad, Patricio Smith, Franklin Díaz, Irati Mendia, Erich Ibarrola, Borja Martínez Salaberria, Iñigo Logroño and Asier Alberro. In addition, alumnus Erich Ibarrola and doctoral student Irati Mendia were the representatives of Tecnun in the raising and lowering of the city.
