Tecnun, School of Engineering at the University of Navarra, has signed a agreement with SALTO Systems, a Basque multinational and global leader in the design, development manufacture of advanced access control solutions and smart electronic locks. The goal agreement is to strengthen the relationship between the university and the company and to contribute to the practical and professional training of engineering students. The agreement was signed by Tecnun director development , Iñigo Gutiérrez, and SALTO research and development director research and development , Jorge Verastegui.
This agreement a partnership that “has been developing for years,” as noted by Rocío Núñez, Director of Corporate Relations. Thanks to agreement, the company will collaborate with Tecnun seminars, course-based challenges, and visits by university students to its facilities and production plants. Additionally, students from various Degrees will complete internships and final Degree master’s projects at the company, which, in Núñez’s words, “will enhance their practical training and the acquisition of professional skills that complement their studies.”
For his part, Jorge Verastegui, director research and development SALTO Systems, highlighted the strategic value of the partnership for the company’s future. In this regard, he emphasized the alignment between SALTO’s growth and innovation plans and the academic and technological training offered by the School.
