Marta Ormazabal awarded in the first edition of Women in Gipuzkoa for Sustainability

Marta Ormazábal, deputy director of Research of Tecnunhas been awarded in the First Edition of the "Women of Gipuzkoa for Sustainability" awards, organized by department Sustainability of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.

Ormazabal has been distinguished with the award for her outstanding career as a woman of reference in the academic and university environment, promoting sustainability through her research work and her commitment to the development of knowledge in this field.

In an event held at Naturklima, the climate house of Gipuzkoa, the trajectory and commitment of different women in the advance towards a circular Economics , leading pioneering initiatives and contributing to the sustainable transformation of Gipuzkoa, was recognized. 

Also awarded were Idoia Azaldegui, CEO of Polymat, an International Center of Excellence dedicated to research in polymers for the field of energy, who was awarded for her work as a woman referent in the promotion of sustainability in the business world, and Izaskun Suberbiola, director of the Ecoactive Museum Ship MATER and president of the association Itsas Gela - classroom del Mar, who was recognized for her work as a woman referent in the promotion of sustainability in associations and social transformation. 

The jury was also composed of ADEGI - association de Empresas de Gipuzkoa, Gipuzkoa Chamber of Commerce and ASPEGI.
