The recent oil crisis, exacerbated by the status the Strait of Hormuz, has heightened the urgency of making progress on decarbonization. This was stated by the director the Repsol Foundation’s Energy TransitionChair the University of Navarra, Tomás Gómez-Acebo, during the latest webinar organized by the Chair. The meeting goal the main challenges facing hydrogen projects, as well as the factors that influence their development.
Speakers included experts from the energy, business, and institutional sectors, such as Raquel Guindo, head of Open Room at the Repsol Foundation; Daniel Fraile, Chief Policy Officer at Hydrogen Europe; José Antonio Membiela, CEO of P2X at Ignis; Dorian de Kermadec, Managing Director Low Carbon Transition at BBVA; and Carlos Mínguez, partner Andersen.
The director the Repsol Foundation’s Chair Energy Transition at the University of Navarra and professor of Tecnun, Tomás Gómez-Acebo, opened the webinar by highlighting the need to “address strategies for implementing hydrogen projects.” Throughout the event, the speakers analyzed the role of this model vector in the transition toward a more sustainable model . As highlighted by Raquel Guindo, head of Open Room at the Repsol Foundation, “this meeting part of the Repsol Foundation’s commitment to bringing knowledge, innovation, and technology closer to society and to collaborating with the University in training young talent in core topic areas core topic the energy transition.”
It is worth noting that the webinar had over 900 registered participants.
